Rachelle has been involved in fitness since the early 80's, playing city league soccer and becoming addicted to the benefits of exercise such as weight loss. In high school, Rachelle played three varsity sports to include soccer, volleyball, and softball; making All-State Florida High School Soccer Team and receiving a college volleyball scholarship. Rachelle obtained her undergraduate degree in Communication and graduate degree in Public Administration, staying active throughout college with sports.
As a 30-year law enforcement professional, Rachelle was a Health and Wellness Instructor for law enforcement officers for over 12 years, helping them with physical fitness for duty. Rachelle worked as a Group Fitness Instructor for Anytime Fitness between 2012-2014, working around her law enforcement shift schedule. Rachelle is also a certified RAD Kids (Resisting Aggression Defensively) teaching children ages 6-14 to avoid and protect themselves from violence and learning overall safe practices. Rachelle played for the adult soccer league in Southwest Georgia and coached kids soccer for over five years for the Thomasville YMCA.
Rachelle is also a veteran cyclist, riding several times in the Police Unity Tour, to honor fallen law enforcement officers. The ride is over 270 miles in 3 days in the mountains of Virginia. Rachelle also completed the Tour de Force to honor fallen officers and their families. This ride is from Miami Beach to Daytona Beach in five days. Rachelle was a member of the police bike squad for several years and is certified through IPMBA (International Police Mountain Bike Association).
In 2019, Rachelle obtained her NASM Personal Trainer Certification and started working with clients online, which served well in 2020 during the quarantine period. In recent years, Rachelle has trained with an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder and a competitive level Powerlifter. Rachelle worked for two years as a part-time personal trainer and group fitness instructor for YouFit Gyms to gain valuable experience.
Rachelle has earned the AFAA (part of NASM) Group Fitness Instructor Certification and is a Senior Fitness Specialist. Rachelle is currently obtaining a certification to train women for overall health, strength, and empowerment.
SPINNING and Schwinn certified, Colette Vallee enjoys leading classes of all ages and fitness levels. Vallee guides riders across different terrains that mimic an outdoor riding experience without having to worry about the weather or navigating through traffic. Hills, runs, sprints and leg drills create a ride that is challenging, but flexible enough to meet the needs of all. Classes work muscles in ways not offered by other cardiovascular activities, strengthening the core, back and shoulders while working out the quadriceps and hamstrings. Additionally, riding will strengthen your heart, immune system and burn 350-700 calories per class! Whether you are taking your first class or one hundred and first class, a cycling workout will motivate you to want to always give your best effort. The room is dark to allow members to turn their focus inwards and find the challenge they want from the class that day. While a group fitness activity, every ride is YOUR ride and you determine your effort while I map out our 45-60 minute ride. Watching strength and endurance increase over time is exciting to see as an instructor and motivates me to continually modify workouts to meet the changing needs of the people in each class. Feedback from the attendees after each class is always encouraged and welcomed!
